What is a Peer Advocate?
A MyAdvo Peer Advocate is someone open to sharing their health story with a chronic condition, such as endometriosis, fibroids, PCOS, with other women at the beginning of their health journeys.
MyAdvo Peer Advocates are seasoned in navigating diagnosis, treatment and management of their chronic condition. Oftentimes, they've explored various treatments, and after consulting numerous doctors and specialists, have built a trusted care team to manage their condition to not just survive but thrive.
MyAdvo Peer Advocates provide what is most often missing in our health journeys: validation, compassion, and solidarity. They are matched with women seeking to learn more about how to navigate the healthcare system to diagnose, treat, or manage their chronic condition, including but not limited to endometriosis, fibroids, and PCOS. Over a 30 minute video call, MyAdvo Peer Advocates listen to your health journey and share what they've learned from their own experience. We foster productive conversation that remains optimistic yet realistic in our effort to help our community find faster diagnoses and treatments that work for them.

VALIDATION, COMPASSION, & SOLIDARITY
WHAT WE DON'T DO?
MyAdvo Peer Advocates are here to share their personal health experiences and offer support. They do not provide medical advice or make health decisions for MyAdvo members. Instead, they aim to provide a non-judgmental perspective, helping members feel supported in their own care decisions without expressing polarizing views.
